Linda Roberts earned her B.A. in English, with a concentration in dramatic literature, from Indiana University. She holds a Masters in Education from the University of Chicago, where she taught Remedial Reading at the Laboratory School. She began her career as a professional puppeteer in 1970 when she began touring the Midwest with Cole Marionettes. In 1982 Linda founded Roberts Marionettes and, as its Artistic Director, adapts and produces folktales. She has presented nearly 12,000 performances to well over three million students. Linda has taught drama to seventh-graders, toured the state of Michigan as a circus aerialist, and works in theatre as an actress, designer, and director.
Fred Sauers has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is retired from a career in data processing which began when a computer was almost as large as a room. He has been interested in theatre, especially acting and set construction, since he was in sixth grade--and that was more than sixty years ago. He is skilled as an artist in ceramics, sculpting, wood-working, casting, and mold-making. When Roberts Marionettes was founded in 1982, Fred became the company's puppet-maker and Technical Director. He has created almost 100 puppets and has co-produced eight productions for Roberts Marionettes. Fred hand-carves the puppets from wood to 1/4 to nearly 1/2 human scale. It takes forty hours to carve, cast, joint, paint, wig, costume, and string each marionette.

Kay Capasso grew up under the heavy influence of Sesame Street. She spent five years as an ASL interpreter at an elementary school, then got a theatre scholarship to Alma College in Michigan. She graduated in 2006 with her BA in Theatre. Since then, she has made Chicago her home and acting her life. She has been seen on various stages around the city and has toured children's shows around the country. Her venture into professional puppeteering is recent, but long-awaited, as she has wanted to be a puppeteer since she realized there were people(!) behind those Muppets. She is currently working on the pilot DVD of Mr. Furry Fur Fur and his Friendly Earth Friends with a very silly girl squirrel.
